Painful sores or ulcers on the lips, gums or inner cheeks. Fever. Red, swollen or tender gums. Swollen lymph nodes in the neck. Bad breath (halitosis). Dry mouth (xerostomia). Loss of appetite due to mouth pain. Headaches.
