Gingivitis is a common periodontal disease characterized by redness, swelling and irritation of gums due to sticking of bacteria-containing plaque on teeth. It is important to treat this condition otherwise it leads to weak enamel, large ulcers, complete destruction of gums and loose and falling teeth.
