How does Hepatitis A present?
Hepatitis A is an infection which can be prevented by vaccines. It is spread by hepatitis A virus. The spread of the disease is by oro-fecal route. It is very contagious infection but self-limiting. It presents as malaise and non-specific sign symptoms such as: nausea, vomiting, anorexia, fever. Jaundice, hepatosplenomegaly, lymphadenopathy, a rash with dark urine and pale stools may also be present.
