Bullous myringitis is the infection of the tympanic membrane. It is characterized by presence of painful blisters on the eardrum. Bullous myringitis is most commonly caused by viral infections. However, streptococcus pneumoniae, hemophilus influenza, and moraxella catarrhalis are also common causative agents.
