Mandibular fractures (or broken jaw) are a common facial injury. Only the nose is broken more frequently. A broken jaw is the 10th most common fractured bone in the human body. Fractures (breaks in the bone) are generally the result of a direct force or trauma to the jawbone (mandible). More unstable fractures often require surgical repair. Surgical methods using plates across the fracture site and screws to attach the plates (or thin perforated bars) to bone may allow some patients to have normal motion of the mandible and to eat shortly after surgery. This patient is a 29 years old man with a mandibular angle fracture due to an assault event. The operation done by @saeedhajizadehh was by using extraorally open approach, titanium plates and screws were placed rigidly for the anatomical reduction (approximating the ends of the bones edges that are broken) and fixation
