When acetylcholine (neurotransmitter) binds to a receptor on the muscle fiber membrane, this stimulates ion channels to open which causes a certain influx of ions to move through out the channel to cause muscle contraction. What are the two main ions that cause this contraction to occur? A. Potassium and Chlorine B. Sodium and Calcium C. Potassium and Iodine D. Sodium and Oxygen
