Remodeling stage of bone repair. Osteoclasts remove unnecessary bone, and osteoblasts lay new bone tissue in response to stresses placed on bone. New haversian systems develop as concentric layers of cortical bone are deposited along blood vessels. Calluses gradually decrease in size.
