Greenstick Fracture vs Torus Fracture

Greenstick Fracture vs Torus Fracture

Greenstick fracture and torus fracture are common pediatric fractures. The fracture in which fracture line does not pass through the entirety of the bone due to less brittle and soft nature of the bone is called greenstick fracture. It occurs due to force on the side of the bone. Torus fracture aka buckle fracture refers to compression of metaphysis. It occurs when force is applied on the axial aspect of the bone.
