If u r really medical influenced person solve this if u have guts In a 28years old women, worm s seen in her thigh x-ray. What s the act of worms on her brain, what is the diagnosis and treatment. What s the influence of steroids

It's a case of neurocysticercosis if you are starting with steroids it will decrease inflammation bt increase the risk of spread of infection so after 2 days of starting with steroids stats with Albendazole 400 mg stat for14 days along with phenytoin if needed

Might be cysticercosis...if brain is involved it is termed as neurocysticercosis

Neurocysticercosis is the infection of the tape worm in the brain, but it can also manifest other places in the body like the thigh. Surgical excision may be an option for removal, but it can be very risky if sacs are ruptured. They are one of the main causes of epilepsy in developing countries. However, I’m not sure what steroids can do.

This is a case of neurocysticercosis. Steroids will initially bring down inflammation and patient feels better, however later due to immuno suppression condition deteriorates
