Sunray or sunburst appearance of bone

Sunray or sunburst appearance of bone on X-ray: It is the spiculated appearance of the bone as a result of tissue destruction and soft tissue invasion. It occurs as a result of fast growing lesion that don’t give enough time to the periosteum to form a new layer of bone.
