Marginal artery of Drummond is also known as marginal artery of colon. It forms as a result of anastomosis between the terminal branches of superior mesenteric artery and inferior mesenteric artery. The marginal artery of Drummond supplies transverse colon, descending colon, and splenic flexure via vasa rectum.
