Patient presents with oral discoloration on palette and white tongue. Symptoms include fever, mild cough, low grade fever, congestion, and burning sinuses. Patient is in mid 50’s and was given oral antibiotics to help with sinuses .Thoughts on what this could be?
It could be thrush candidiasis. Very common for those on prolonged antibiotic use, especially oral.
Blood test can be preferred to differentiate between scarlet fever and measles
