Supraventricular tachycardia- Diagnosis

Supraventricular tachycardia- Diagnosis

Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) diagnosis starts with a medical history and a physical exam, followed by an Electrocardiogram (ECG) to record your heart's electrical activity. If symptoms occur irregularly, a Holter monitor or implantable loop recorder may be used for longer-term monitoring. Other tests like an echocardiogram, blood tests, and sometimes an exercise stress test or electrophysiologic study further help confirm the diagnosis and evaluate heart function.
