Anatomy of Carpal Tunnel

Carpal tunnel is defined by scaphoid tubercle and trapezium laterally, hook of hamate and pisiform medially, transverse carpal ligament palmarly (roof), and proximal carpal row dorsally (floor). Carpal tunnel consists of nine flexor tendons, and one nerve (median nerve), FPL is the most radial structure. Branches of median nerve are palmar cutaneous nerve and recurrent motor branch.
