Here is a squamous cell carcinoma in a location you don’t see every day. Treatment with surgery and or radiation can have a significant impact on function. Our patient opted for surgical extirpation (total soft palate removal & partial pharyngectomy) along with removal of neck nodes. Underwent adjuvant radiation for multiple positive neck nodes. The reconstruction was done with a radial forearm free flap. At one year following surgery she is cancer free and speaking/eating without issues.
