A 50 year-old patient with a history of hypertension, hyperlipidemia and alcoholism presents tobEmergency Department with productive cough, fever, chills and generalized weakness. She states that she has had those symptoms for over a week and her family adds that she has been acting confused as well. She takes atenolol and Lipitor and recently started drinking again. E. Her vital signs do not indicate shock. There is not evidence of SIRS or multiple organ failure. Her vital signs do not indicate severe strep.

E so far because until we blood work back on her we won’t know how her kidneys, liver, etc are. So I’m saying E
