The main sources of household air pollution are animal dung, charcoal, wood, coal and crop waste. Approximately 3 billion people have these sources for fuel. They use them for lighting, heating, cooking and protection. This leads to household pollution. In 2012, household pollution caused 4 million premature deaths.
