The health consequences of indoor air pollution or household air pollution are devastating. Respiratory and cardiovascular disorders are very common in such households which ultimately lead to death. 4 million people die because of household pollution. The underlying cause is; Stroke – 34% Ischemic Heart Disease (IHD) – 26% COPD – 22% Pneumonia – 12% Lung cancer – 6%
