The sources of these pollutants are; Carbon sources • Wildfires and deliberate forest burning • Burning of urban waste and crop waste • Transport • Combustion in commercial and residential setups • Combustion of kerosene and diesel • Combustion of biomass • Coal-fired power plants Ozone does not have direct source, instead it produces from precursors such as • Methane • Volatile organic compounds • Carbon monoxide • Oxides of nitrogen Methane sources • Livestock production • Byproduct of fossil fuel extraction • Fossil fuel distribution
