Acanthosis Nigricans

It is a condition in which there is darkening of skin in the body folds and creases. Some of the causes of acanthosis nigricans are obesity,type 2 diabetes, Cushing's syndrome and PCOS.

There is no specific treatment for acanthosis nigricans. Management is based primarily to improve cosmetic appearance and include topical retinoids, dermabrasion and laser treatment.
