Torus palatinus is a harmless and painless bony growth that develops on the roof of the mouth (the hard palate). The mass appears in the middle of the hard palate and can vary in size and shape. They are harmless and usually require no treatment unless they interfere with a person’s speech, ability to swallow, or daily life. I have one of these. They usually don’t bother me too much because it’s normal to me.
They don’t affect my speech too much, it gets in the way but I’m used to it.
