Splinter hemorrhages

Splinter hemorrhages are small blood spots that are visible underneath the nail. There many causes of splinter hemorrhages,one of the most dangerous one is infective endocarditis that is infection of the heart valves. Other causes are hemodialysis, antiphospholipid syndrome and vasculitis.
