Cutis verticis gyrata(CVG), also known as bulldog scalp syndrome, is a rare condition usually associated with thickening and folding of the scalp.The number of folds are variable and can not be corrected with pressure.They are common in men and develop after puberty, before the age of 30. The causes include, neuropsychiatric disorders including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, seizures and ophthalmologic abnormalities but most commonly cataracts. Good scalp hygiene is mandatory to avoid infections and other potential complications. Definitive treatment includes cosmetic surgeries to correct the appearance.
