Lichen Planus - Papulosquamous Disease, Inflammatory Disorder Of Skin, Autoimmune Disease. Age - Young Adults Mostly Affected. Morphology - Flat Topped, Polygonal, Violaceous, Erythematous 2-10 mm papules covered with scanty scales are characteristic. Wickham's Striae - Criss Cross White Lines on application of oil on surface of papules. Koebner Phenomenon - Occurence of lesions within scratch marks. May Be - Initial ( Micro-Papules ) To Later ( Plaques ) . Sites - Flexor Aspects of wrists and forearms, shins, ankles, dorsa of feet, anterior thighs, flanks, Oral - Buccal Mucosa, lips and genitalia are commonly affected. Variants - Hypertrophic, Annular And Linear Lesions. Diagnosis - Biopsy Treatment - Localised Lesions : Topical And Intralesional Steriods, Diffused Disease : Systemic Steroid Therapy.

Steroids for vaginal area cause thinning of tissues too much..in menopausal women. What is a good compound agent that is more tissue friendly do already dry taut raw tissues.
