what is the difference between artery and vein ?

The major difference is the thickness of their walls ..arterie have thick tunica media and have smooth muscles fibres n also some elastic fibres while in veins thre is large tunica adventia ..and artey carries oxygenated blood while veins carry deoxygenated blood except pulmonary artey n vein

Qrtries carry oxigenated blood away from the heart to all the tissue include heart (carronary art ) and veins deoxyegenated blood to the heart ,veins has valves but Art don'nt . there some microscopic diference also such as the Media layer of artries are thick but in artries it is thin ...
