Hi, i am a med student, i have passed my first year in college with bad degree, i look forward to improving myself. The cause of low degree is MCQs, i have problems how to deal with them or understand them :( Any suggestion for help !? . thanks very much
When i study , i feel like i cant memorize the lesson well. I think you are right so i need to know if there is specific strategies !?
Stating to, “study harder,” is a blanket answer that doesn’t really help anything. Maybe they need to seek out a tutor or change the way they are studying.
it's okay that's because u r at your fist year ,then u could pass through this ,for your problem ,mcqs have a different studying style you can just memorize every word in the page ,u have to link between chapters and between your subjects, that's the idea of mcqs ((linking between things)),u he to understand them first and memorize only the most important things and good luck 🍀👍
No I don't think so ,but try to link between chapters ,do mental maps ,the main principle of mcqs is testing your understanding and your abilities to link between various things .
Do lots and lots of practice questions. Like with anything, if you’re not good at something you need to do it over and over again to get good. Also I recommend trying different study methods. I used to write extensive notes when I first started med but now I mainly use flash cards and practice questions to revise and my marks are much much better.
Both! It should be an ongoing process. Also most textbooks should have questions, there’s many places online. One thing I do is set myself 20 practice MCQs. I will write down the answer as well as WHY that was the right answer. If I get the question wrong or if I don’t know why, I read up on that topic. Rinse and repeat. Eventually you’ll cover everything and have a more in depth knowledge. Spaced repetition is the only way.
