This cyst was removed right before getting the baby out after a cesarean section. So generally speaking, cysts might be discovered on an ultrasound, but do they pose any risks? That depend only on the size and the types of the ovarian cyst. The major risk is of the pressure exerted by a large cyst on the womb. It can be prevented by carefully monitoring a woman, or by recognizing any signs of major problems early enough.
