The cause of the disorder is unknown (idiopathic). Affected individuals may develop episodes of high, spiking fevers, a pink or salmon colored rash, joint pain, muscle pain, a sore throat and other symptoms associated with systemic inflammatory disease. *The cause of adult onset Stillโ€™s disease is unknown (idiopathic).* Researchers believe an abnormal or exaggerated response to an infection or toxic substance may cause the disorder.

I had a still's disease case with 40 degree fever, shaking body, pink diffuse macules in the body just in the mornings, sore throat, myalgia, joint pain and elevated ESR, CRP and ferritin.
