*fistula communicates mouth with maxillary sinus *etiology : 1-traumatic :dental extraction of second premolar or first molar teeth or after excision of alveolar cyst 2-inflammatory :syphylis or osteomyelitis 3-malignant tumor erodes bony wall of maxilla *clinical pictures: 1-unilateral regurgitation of fluids and food from the nose 2-frothy air comes out from socket on blowing of nose 3-infection of sinus leads to purulant foitid discharge *investigation :CT *treatment : If it is recent ::immediate suturing of mucosa and giving antibiotics If it is old ::buccal or palatal flap with effective drainage of sinus If repair failed ::dental obturator can be used
