Midsagittal section of the brain

This image shows a midsagittal section of the brain. The midsagittal plane is satisfyingly accurate and divides the right and left hemispheres of the brain into two equal parts or halves, giving us a view of all the complex anatomical structures and landmarks. As seen in the above photo the outer surface is covered by a thin layer of the meninges called the pia matter.
