My sister had her appendectomy a weak ago, her doctor told me recently, that her incision ended up with #seroma, what was the reason please and how can we treat her without any side effects or problems?
I'm also interested if anyone has any answers. My husband had a complicated colectomy and they had to give him a stoma because they couldn't reattach. He came out of surgery in more pain than he went in, (he's had diverticulitis since age 14, he's now 30). He gained about twenty pounds even though he was on fluids only and could not stop vomiting a green bilious substance. They insert a drain tube once they found the pocket of fluid. They initially thought it was an abscess or hematoma, but his hemoglobin was steady and no infection was found. The fluid was a pinkish yellow.
