Epidermodysplasia verruciformis (EV)also known as treeman syndrome, is an extremely rare autosomal recessive hereditary skin disorder associated with a high risk of skin cancer. It is characterized by abnormal susceptibility to human papillomaviruses(HPVs) of the skin. The resulting uncontrolled HPV infections result in the growth of scaly macules and papules, particularly on the hands and feet
The pictures I've seen of this condition are, as I recall correctly, mostly from Asian looking people. Could it be specific to different skin consistency or something related? Or is it occurring with all skin types? Maybe it has nothing to do with type of skin?
Pre disposed defeciencies in cutaneous immunity make patients of this dusease more vulnerable to HPV infection. It is seen mainly from EASTERN EUROPE,POLQND AND LATIN AMERICA (which includes 195 cases)
