Cardiology devices

Cardiology devices

Here are just some of the toys we use in the heart with interventional cardiology. All of these devices are inserted through catheters via a peripheral blood vessel into the heart. They all serve different purposes, and as you can see they are all pretty small! . . With what you see here we can plug a hole in the heart, crack calcium in a coronary, stent open a blockage, cover and seal a perforation that we may cause in an artery, and coil a branch that may be leaking. . . See if you can guess what is what! Swipe to see the answer. Tag anyone who would find this interesting! #repost: @yourheartdoc
