Allopathic drug is used to treat gout, but at high levels of uric acid in body caused due to certain cancer medications or kidney stones. Allopurinol under the class of medication- xanthine oxidase inhibitors. Which has high uric acid may cause gout attacks or kidney stones. At the time of acute gout arthritis, Allopurinol drug shld b stopped or if it is already given then it shld b continued with the same dosage.
