So I have a friend (27 y.o )who always was stressed about everything. Lately (past 2 years) he started talking about feeling discomfort on the chest and parasternalis area (both left and right sides). Feels tired all time even without exercise. The last week he also said that his legs feel bad and sometimes has pain above knee but it doesn't feel like muscle problem. Had ecg & echo - all clear. Do you have any suggestions what that might be ? Is this can be simply anxiety?
It might be CML chronic myeloid lukemia , his white blood counts will be shooting to the hell ... CBC IS THE INVESTIGATION do it as soon as possible .
No not leukemia. How is biochemistry results? And is he obes/overweight??
Dear Ousaf I can say “not cml”, because; Neither his signs and symptoms nor to age is appropriate for cml. Why did you think cml?
Blood test - normal and also there wasn't any weight loss .(he gained 3 kg past year## 60-63kg) . I keep thinking that might be anxiety & depression.
It might be Psychosomatic Diseases with differential diagnosis Somatoform Disorders. There is highly possibility to physiological disorder if there are no abnormal findings in the examinations.
Possibly anxiety. Pulmonary work up should be obtained. Rhumatory work up as well. Wouldn't hurt to get physicatry involved.
