Hi! I am in grade 9 and have recently been interested in learning medical terms and different techniques (possibly pursuing a medical career). I have watched YouTube videos to learn how to suture, although it may not be correct. Anyway, I just got this kit and if you notice anything or want to ask anything just comment.
Why not volunteer at your local hospital when your off school in the summer....good way to get your foot in the door💞
Yeah, I am not sure if they would let me since I am in grade 9. I love animals, and the humane society wouldn't even let me in with an adult. I would assume it would be the same for a hospital. Thanks for the tip though.
Hey I am in the 8th grade (almost out) and I just wanted to talk to you some more because we are kind of in the same boat. Too young to actually practice medicine... so I hope you'll hit me up and let's talk medicine together🙂
Emilia, sure! What field of medicine are you interested in? I am interested in surgery, but I am not 100% sure.
If you’re interested hit me up as well, I’m in the same position as you both (grade 9 student with a big interest in medicine)!
I have wanted this practice kit for the longest time... have fun with it!🙂
If you have any small kitchen knives or something, and a needle and thread (floss also works because it is strong), you could practice on a banana or an orange. Hopefully you will eventually get it! Sure, we can keep talking! I am glad I am meeting people that are interested in what I am interested in!
Thanks! If you have any tips or anything you would like to share, please let me know!
Cool! I hope you can get it soon! I said this for somebody else, but if you have a sewing kit you can use a needle and thread or dental floss (since it is stronger). Before I had this kit, I used bananas, oranges, and stuffed animals. 😉
That's great! Is there anything else you would want to be besides something in the medical field? I'm just curious, because I am interested in the medical field, but also marine biology.
Amazing! I recommend taking as many science and medical courses as possible, preferably anatomy and medical terminology!
Thanks! I have bought some books about medical terminology (roots, suffixes, and prefixes) and have downloaded apps about anatomy.
volunteer at your local hospital to experience how the medical team work! they love volunteers!
I'm in the equivalent of the grade 11 and I want to go in medecine school after, I really like it too ! So it's cool to see other people like that you know 😉
