Erythema Multiforme Major.

Erythema Multiforme Major.

While involvement of other mucosal surfaces is more frequently seen with Stevens-Johnson syndrome, this patient’s condition was preceded by oral herpetic infection. This finding, combined with his cutaneous manifestations, resulted in a diagnosis of erythema multiforme major, in this case causing the severe conjunctivitis depicted in this photograph.
