2 year old boy admitted for a fever of 104. 5 days later, he develops purple/black blisters and the skin starts to die and deteriorate. About 2 weeks later, he is still on life support, and is having both legs, a complete right arm, and all of the fingers of his left hand amputated. 3 specialists from a nearby state have been called in but no conclusion as to what could have caused this. Initially, doctors thought it was some sort of an autoimmune disorder, then thought it was a flesh-eating disease/virus, but tests have concluded nothing. Any thoughts?
Do a spinal tap since it's affecting mostly the limbs
I doubt I can come up with anything if all these experts are lost. Poor, poor kid.
I've found interesting post "Gangrene" using MEDizzy app. Click the link to view it ;-) https://s4pqd.app.goo.gl/a2eta5MLetNRrfXf9
