A 38yrs old male pt was admitted in surgery dept with complaints of severe abd pain,Nausea, vomitings,Loss of appetite. We guys go for further lab investigations and conducted a open appendectomy to the same pt before 10days, and discharged with some antibiotics and vitamin supplements and asked him to see after 15days. But the pt came to the clinic and said that wound is opened.Again we sutured the wound and he is recovering well. What may be the reasons for opening?!
If he's overweight, could the strain of his fat exert enough pressure?? Also, are there enough stitches for the size of the wound, and internal pressures??
