Gingivectomy

Gingivectomy is the procedure of incising the gingiva. It is Indicated in case of suprabony pockets and gingival enlargement. It is contraindicated when there is a high chance of post operative bleeding, when there is need to access to the bone and when the keratinization of epithelium is reduced.
