Sickle cell patient. History of bone infarct. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🎯MRI: Diffuse and tiny foci of susceptibility artifact. No restricted diffusion. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🎯In this patient, the cause of the cerebral fat embolism is bone infarction (due to sickle cell disease) rather than a fracture. The differential is amyloid angiopathy or chronic hypertensive encephalopathy but those haemorrhagic lesions are bigger and fewer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
