Treatment for Pleomorphic adenoma
The current mainstay of treatment for pleomorphic adenoma is surgical excision. However, parotidectomy is associated with significant risk of complications. The rate of permanent facial nerve injury after parotidectomy, for instance, is up to 26% according to a meta-analysis.
