Just curious about what others may think of my recent symptoms. For a long time I was dealing with not extreme shortness of breath and eventually, I began to experience the shortness of breath to where walking across the parking lot made me have to catch my breath. I've been getting chest pains, most sharp chest pains that reoccur throughout the lower lung areas and upper chest areas and sides of my rib area. (Sorry I'm not 100% knowledgeable of the anatomy terms yet) I was diagnosed with low iron levels and low D vitamin. I received an inhaler as well. I had X-rays and a blood test was done but there was nothing. I've had a cough every now and then. Also. When I was born I was 3 months premature, my lungs weren't fully developed as well as other things like skin and was incubated for 3 months. And growing up I had asthma. But outgrew it. Now I'm experiencing this. I'm not really sure what's going on and doctors at a clinic said there wasn't anything wrong.. I have 3 things that I keep telling myself could be the cause the iron deficiency , allergies or/and second hand smoke.

Well, adults that were born premature often experience lung problems. They don’t have the lung volume of a person, who was fully developed when being born. It shows clinical signs of COPD, which is an obstructive lung disease, but is just a result of the once not fully developed lung. I would try and go see a pulmonologist about this or just another doctor at all. Have you had lung function tests, a spirometry or such?

Welll they are actually something I’d consider in a young person

Alright thank you and I have not had those tests done.

Maybe initiation of COPD with exacerbation of your asthma which make asthma attacks. I suggest you stop smoking because inhalers are not as effective as this work can do. Do you have chest tenderness on ribs especially near midline?

Well, I don't smoke, but growing up I was surrounded by second-hand smoke. And there is no tenderness just feels like theres tightness or pressure in the ribs area

Second hand is like passive smoking. I didn't know the meaning.🙄 I hope you feel better...
