Severe Prognathism Treated well!

Severe Prognathism Treated well!

Skeletal disharmonies can not only cause problems with chewing and eating but also affects a patient's appearance and self esteem. In most cases these disharmonies cannot be treated with braces alone but rather in conjunction with corrective jaw surgery, also known as orthognathic surgery. Our patient here presented with a case of severe prognathism which was corrected with a high LeFort 1 maxillary distraction followed by BSSO setback and reduction genioplasty.
