This lovely 12 YO kid was referred for the removal of impacted canines in the mandible. The patient is undergoing orthodontic treatment. Both teeth were not in a position that allows for surgical exposure and traction. We did a sulcular to a paramarginal incision to avoid possible neurosensory disturbances and minimize issues with the mentalis attachments. The teeth were sectioned and removed in multiple pieces to preserve the maximum amount of available bone. Due to the position of these impacted teeth and the extention up to the inferior border of the mandible, the site was grafted with corticocancellous allogenic bone + PRF. The post operative ultra low dose CBCT shows the restoration of the contour and proper augmentation of the sites. Patients are advised in such cases to stay on liquid diet for 6 weeks to minimize the risk of a mandibular fracture.
