Reimplantation of 3rd molar

Reimplantation of 3rd molar

Reimplantation of 3rd molar into the socket of 2nd molar 🔳 A patient in his late 20s came with pain in his lower 7 (2nd molar) on examination there was cavity present, patient was advised to get a root canal done but due to his financial situation and multiple visits (opd setup) he opted for an extraction. 🔲 After extracting his lower 7 (2nd molar) clinical condition of his lower 8 (3rd molar) was assessed and we decided to extract it and reimplant it in the socket of refreshly extracted 7 with the patient consent. - Extraction socket was shaped accordingly with a slow speed-hand-piece while the tooth was placed in saline solution and was splinted once it was fixing properly inside the socket, it was trimmed out of occlusion to avoid unnecessary masticatory forces. 🔲 Patient came back after a week for suture removal with no complaints and is follow up for removal of splint after 20 days By: https://www.instagram.com/p/CNc24jNn-aU/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
