When sciatic nerve decompression does not work due to nerve exploration and repair not being possible in specific patients, the priority is to overcome foot drop. The interventions that can be used include: • Analgesics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and muscle relaxants • Wearing orthotic devices which are braces that help support weakened muscles while walking and enhance comfort • Tendon transfer from posterior tibial muscle to anterior tibial muscle. Only for cases in which there is injury of lateral sciatic nerve trunk.
