Chemical Proctitis

Proctitis refers to inflammation of the rectal mucosa. There are numerous causes of proctitis. These include infections, radiations, and immunosuppression. Exposure to few chemicals can cause proctitis. It may even involve colon, hence called 'chemical colitis'.
