Pott's Spine

Pott's Spine

Pott's spine refers to the tuberculosis infection of the spine. In entire skeleton, tuberculosis most commonly affects spine. Pott's spine can lead to compression of the spinal cord leading to altered sensations and motor weakness. In rare case, fistulas may form in the skin that channel paraspinal abscess, giving rise to a very rare 'swiss cheese loin' presentation.
