Ring avulsion injuries occur as a consequence of sudden pull on a finger, usually the one with the ring, resulting in soft tissue damage and degloving. Diagnosis of ring avulsion injury is made on the basis of clinical presentation. Treatment involves urgent reconstruction surgery.
